We absolutely love traveling with our dog (Tsunami) so when we planned a road trip to Bend, we knew we had to bring him along. Bend is one of our favorite day trips from Portland. Our dogs love road trips, so a trip down to Bend was exactly what we all needed, the only issue is sometimes it can be challenging to find a dog-friendly hotel that we all enjoy.  Luckily on this trip we were fortunate enough to stay only 2 blocks from the heart of downtown at the Wall Street Suites, and a hidden gem it is!

The Wall Street Suites is a beautiful boutique hotel with a motel layout, so you can park right in front of your room. Although all the rooms point out to the parking lot, they have added privacy with big plant pots in front of each room.  They also pride theirselves with ‘soundproof’ walls, and off of experience we can testify that the rooms are very quite and private.  Although it is motel style, Wall Street Suites felt more like a bed and breakfast. It’s quaint, super cozy and an incredibly friendly staff, with plenty of amenities.  Each room has a cute little table and two chairs in front of the room, a perfect place to sit outside and enjoy.

With only 15 suites and 2 guest rooms, it has a homey feel to it. They have 4 different style suites ranging from 475-600 square feet. Also they have 2 regular rooms that are 280 square feet. It’s across the street from Pioneer Park and a quick walk to downtown and Drake Park.  The rooms are beautifully decorated with stone floors, wooden accents and gorgeous marble walk-in shower with a skylight! Tip decided he could stay in the shower all day!

Have a look inside the Deschutes Suite:

Each suite has a kitchenette and dining room table, so there’s no reason to leave the room! We really enjoyed the extra space. Although it was just the two of us (3 with Tsunami), it would be perfect for a bigger family or even two couples. Each room has its own separate climate control and a flat screen tv.  It’s important for us to have a kitchen accessible when we travel because we like to cook most of our food. Although we do enjoy indulging in local eatery whenever we are traveling, we also like cutting cost wherever we can so we made our breakfast and lunch every day and only ate out for dinner.  We really enjoyed having the kitchenette, which comes with basically everything that you would have in your kitchen. All of the rooms are beautifully decorated with old wood and barn style sliding doors. Even the bedside tables are made with leftover wood. The bedside tables were not really tables, but more like “ledges” as they just stick out from the wall, which gives you more room.Wall Street suites bend oregon fittwotravel.com

Now lets talk about the bed! This bed was probably one of, if not, THE BEST beds I’ve ever laid on! First it’s a king size and second its memory-foam. I could have jumped up and down and Tip wouldn’t have felt a thing! It was amazing to come back from a long day of hiking Smith Rock State Park and lay down on a little slice of heaven! We officially need one at home!

We mentioned earlier how dog-friendly Wall Street Suites is, but they go above and beyond for excellent dog service. Tsunami can’t wait to go back! Each room comes with a little “dog bag” if you will, which includes 2 dog bowls, a little bag of treats, and a dog blanket. Also included in the room is a cover for the couch, for your dog to lay on. They have their own enclosed dog park in the back of the hotel, equipped with dog bags and everything. It is so convenient to have a park in the “backyard” of the the hotel. Considering Bend is so dog-friendly, it really doesn’t surprise me, but it sure was nice to have everything included! I think everyone else that I saw over the weekend at Wall Street also had dogs.

*Also, if you don’t like dogs or are allergic, they do have 2 non-dog friendly suites available! (Not that they would be unfriendly to dogs in the room, but that they, well you know what I mean…)

Wall Street Suites really blew us away! Here are some of our favorite amenities of the hotel:

  • Dog friendly
  • Full suites including a kitchen
  • Communal fire pit
  • Coffeemaker with a jar of ground coffee
  • Free WiFi
  • Bicycles available for guest use (only available in the summer time)

Wall Street Suites seriously felt like home. It’s hard to believe that this hotel was once a motor-hotel. From the minute we walked in, we were completely wowed! Its the perfect location for everything you need in Bend, and it was so nice to sit by the fire and enjoy some wine! We only stayed for 2 nights and we seriously considered staying another night (if we didn’t have to go to back to reality and work) because it was such an amazing place!

*There is 2 dog per room limit, with a maximum weight of 70 pounds. There is a rate of $20/dog per day. Please note if you bring your dogs, they cannot be left in the room attended*

Whether you are just passing through Bend, or are here for a couple days, you can’t go wrong with Wall Street Suites. Even if you choose to stay in your own suite or sit by the fire pit, Wall Street Suites is the perfect place to experience Bend, especially if you have your dog with you!

Please note that while we were working with Wall Street Suites, the reviews and experiences written about in this post are 100% genuine. We value our readers too much to lie to you. Our blog would be nothing without you and your continued support!
